• Are you looking for people to learn a specific skill set for work?
  • Do you want students to apply the knowledge they gain practically?
  • Do you have a mixed audience with some staff needing refresher and others new to the subject?
  • Has staffed expressed dissatisfaction with previous courses being too generic, stale, or irrelevant?
  • Can training necessary for compliance actually be interesting, fun, and applicable?

If you answer to any of these questions is yes, then you should explore training options for your organization. Here are a few of the courses we have available:

Improving Survival in Active Shooter Situations: It’s no secret that the world we live in is constantly changing — and not always for the better. Mass shootings seem to occur with disturbing regularity, and it is impossible to predict where one will happen. Our short, fast-paced course is designed for all audiences.

EMS Build-a-Class: Time is too valuable to spend covering “nice to know” material when you really want to focus on “need to know”. This build a class allows the client to determine the content to customize the program based upon their specific needs.

Personal Protective Equipment Confidence Building: The emergence of Ebola in the United States and subsequent infection of healthcare workers has highlighted the need for healthcare providers to be competent in the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This course delivers the need-to-know knowledge, skills, and abilities that personnel need.

Medical Response to Unique Threats: Hazardous materials events occur with frequency across the country. These chemicals are often stored in large quantities near cities and transported via rail and roadways. Emergency medical personnel need education to ensure their safety and that of patients.

Hospital Emergency Response Team (HERT): Decontaminating these patients prior to admission to the hospital requires specialized training, too. Consider this course to cover what personnel need to know.

Incident Command (ICS): All staff need to understand their roles in the case of emergency. Line staff in key positions need to initiate effective incident management by establishing command. Since this is not always a supervisory level staff member, be inclusive in your invitations to this class, not exclusive. You never know who will need to step up and take charge.

Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) courses are perfect for both the new and experienced members of your hospital incident management team. Basic processes are covered before moving into an actual practice using the HICS.
