{"id":1965,"date":"2015-02-02T20:18:57","date_gmt":"2015-02-02T20:18:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.abetteremergency.com\/blog\/?p=1965"},"modified":"2015-02-02T20:18:57","modified_gmt":"2015-02-02T20:18:57","slug":"volunteer-fire-ems-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abetteremergency.com\/blog\/2015\/02\/volunteer-fire-ems-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Volunteer Fire &#038; EMS Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Roughly 70% of the fire services in the United States are volunteer, with many of them also running EMS. \u00a0 As a person who spent about 17 years in the volunteer fire and EMS world, I also know how thankless the position of training officer can be. \u00a0Not everyone wants training until the few months before they need to have their CEUs or after a particularly nasty or unusual call.<\/p>\n<p>I put together a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abetteremergency.com\/blog\/courses-presentations\/ems-build-a-class\/\">build-a-course program<\/a> that I think will be offer useful options when designing your EMS education. You can schedule one class or a whole years worth of one night a month EMS training. \u00a0Many courses have complimentary skill stations and I can work with you to design, facilitate and evaluate a HSEEP compliant exercise.
