I would argue that most consequences may surprise us, but they were predictable.<\/p>\n<p>Why not form a panel to evaluate who was responsible for obviously not implementing critical components of the plan of improvement developed after the last event\/exercise which closely resembled hurricane Sandy?<\/p>\n<p>Every time there is a major event, politicians and policy makers are quick to appear to be doing something\/anything in order to defray public criticism.  We often accuse the public of displaying apathy towards disaster preparedness, perhaps they are just following the lead of their elected leaders.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I find it interesting to see terms like &#8220;unexpected&#8221;.
