We all wear multiple hats and have long lists of regular responsibilities we have to tend to. Although we have a core group that has been there for years, others come and go, and we cannot seem to ever catch up with training. I'm sure that other facilities have the same challenges, but these things are especially difficult for extremely small and geographically isolated hospitals such as ours.
I work with a number of clients on their HERTs and each topic you mentioned Jim is a factor regardless of facility size it seems. Each case is unique but often I encourage them to forget all the grant-funded and donated stuff and go with a very simple decon process. I'd rather you work within your limitations than try and reach too far.
